How do you measure Moissanite gemstone weight and size?

Carats are the traditional measuring unit of a gemstone’s weight. Moissanite weighs approximately 10% less than a diamond of the same diameter. To give our customers a comparative estimate of gemstone size, we use a Diamond Equivalent Weight (DEW), when describing our moissanite gems. The actual stone size is noted in millimeters (mm). Jewlr's moissanite is laboratory-created.
